Sept. 11, 2017 - Business Wire
Subscription services are quickly becoming the dominate strategy of today’s best retailers and have resulted in a monumental shift in the way people buy. More than 50% of all American households now subscribe to Amazon Prime, and over 200 million people subscribe to this retail service and others, such as Netflix, Spotify, Dollar Shave Club, Costco and AAA. Bank marketers have a duty to understand these trends and drive their banks beyond standard transactions to better connect with the lifestyles of today’s consumers
In conjunction with this year’s ABA Bank Marketing Conference, Dave DeFazio, partner at StrategyCorps, will host a breakout session titled, “The Amazon Prime Effect: Surviving in the New Subscription Society.”
As part of the session, DeFazio will explore:
• How Amazon’s Alexa and Bank of America’s Erica have created the year of hands free banking;
• How companies like Amazon create wildly popular user experiences that have led to 85 million people in the U.S. with paid Prime accounts;
• New consumer research videos to take you into the mind of the customer.
Additionally, Adam Thompson, regional director at StrategyCorps, will be giving a Power Breakfast presentation on Tues., Sept. 26 at 7:00 a.m. CT around “Consumer Checking Account Trends and Tactics.” The session will examine the latest consumer research and peer performance checking account statistics as well as provide simple action items that every marketer can take home to improve their products.
